PERTH MALA IS SEEKING A VOLUNTEER SECRETARY !



Our current Secretary is due to finish at the end of Semester 1, and the committee is in need of a volunteer who will step up and help us out. 

Apart from taking the minutes of the monthly committee meetings, there are some other coordination and support roles that are both interesting and rewarding!

There will be plenty of time for a detailed handover and even opportunity for some mentoring if desired in the coming months...

Our committee members are all volunteers and bring a broad range of skills, energy, enthusiasm and camaraderie — you would be joining a wonderful team! 

The end result is that Perth MALA members benefit from a fantastic range of different courses, lecturers and social events each year.

National Trust of WA guided tour of Peninsula Farm Wu-rat Woorat in Maylands

Friday 11th April 11:30am tour

TOUR FULLY BOOKED OUT!

Join fellow Perth MALA members on this informative historical tour conducted by experienced National Trust Guides.

Tour cost: $7-00 per person now payable at the MALA Desk in advance. (On the day our 20 participants will be split into 2 groups for the conducted tours.)

This tour is accessible for those with restricted mobility or in wheelchairs.

Peninsula Farm Location:

2C Johnson Road, Maylands

(on-site parking is available.)

At 1:00pm join old and new friends for a light lunch on a ‘MALA long table’ at Kilns Cafe,

2 Waterway Crescent, Ascot (only about 9 minutes from the Peninsula Farm.)

This interesting little cafe is attached to Craig Care retirement complex, and has ample parking, disability access & airconditioning. 

Perth MALA 2025 Adult Learning Courses

All Perth courses are held only on Fridays at the George Burnett Leisure Centre, Manning Road (opposite Elderfield Road) Karawara/Bentley (between the Freeway and Curtin University.)

2025 SEMESTER 1

Part A will run for 5 weeks 28th February — 28th March

Part B will run for 5 weeks from 2nd to 30th May

2025 SEMESTER 2

Part A will run for 5 weeks 22 August — 19 September

Part B will run for 5 weeks from 10th October to 7 November
